Bia Hao Yin Zhen (Silver Needle) is premium white tea; only the buds (leaf shoots) of the Camelia Sinensis plant are picked. Its season is very short and is picked at the time of day when the sun has dried the moisture on the buds. These buds are then left to wilt and dry (the only processing that white tea undergoes). The tea is orginally from Fuding but this Bai Hao Yin Zhen (Silver Needle) is from Jinggu, Yunnan, China. It has larger, more plump buds than the Fuding variety and a wilder, creamier flavour profile.
